Trademark Registration

Basically, a trademark is a “brand” or “logo” that you can use to distinguish your product from those of your competitors. Through trademark registration or you can say logo registration/brand registration, you can protect your brand or logo by restricting other people from using the same. For e.g. the logo of NIKE and their tagline JUST DO IT is a registered brand name. Procedure

Step 1 : Trademark search (1 day)

This check well ensures that are no issues & there are minimal chances of an objection being raised in the future.

Step 2 : Create trademark application (1 day)

Once we ensure that your chosen name or design is available & exclusive, we send you an authorisation letter which has to be duly signed by you and returned to us. These letters give our lawyers authority to file a trademark application on your behalf.

Step 3 : Trademark application submission (1 day)

Once we receive the authorisation letter & provided that no information is incorrect or partial, our lawyers will file the trademark on your behalf, and you can immediately start using the ™ symbol. We will provide you with the TM application number.
We file the trademark different at the central trademark department office or via online. A trademark can be filed online only by a registered lawyer or agent.

Step 4: Trademark registration (1.5 years)

Once a trademark application is complete, your application will be verified by the trademarks office. The government can also raise an objection on if your name similar to some other trademark in the same class, or the name is deemed obscene, hurts religious sentiments.
In case no objection is raised, the trademark registrar will publish an advertisement in the trademarks journal. If no opposition is filed by any party within a period of 4 months, the trademark should be registered within the next 6 months. During this period, we constantly provide you with updates regarding the status of your application. You will need to pay the additional fee in case of such objections.

Step 5: Hearing before Registrar

If the objection has been filed on your trademark and the opposition doesn’t agree with your response, then hearing is held before the registrar. We appoint lawyers (charges extra) to take up your case in front of the registrar.

Food Licence

FSSAI is an abbreviation used for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. FSSAI license is mandatory before starting any food business. NGO Registration

A Section 8 Company is an organization which is registered as a Non-Profit Organization (NPO). Import Export Code Registration

IEC registration is required by a person for exporting or importing goods. It is a 10 digit code which is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). All businesses which are engaged in Import and Export of goods require registering Import Export Code. IE code has lifetime validity. Importers are not allowed to proceed without this code and exporters can’t take benefit of exports from DGFT, customs, Export Promotion Council, if they don’t have this code.

Digital Signature(DSC)

Income Tax Return

Income tax is tax levied on the income of a person by the Government of India as per the provisions contained in the Income Tax Act 1961. It is levied on income earned during the year starting from 1 April and ending 31st March.


Procedure

The return can be filed both physically & electronically. For e-filing download the government utility from Income tax portal (in excel format or java utility). Complete all the fields and information required, pay the tax due and generate the xml. You can upload this xml on government portal by logging into your account. Once the xml is uploaded download the acknowledgement in ITR-V. This ITR-V can either be verified using EVC code or can be couriered to CPC Bangalore for further processing. GST Registration

GST refers to Goods and Services Tax which subsumes all taxes such as Sales tax, Service tax, Excise duty etc. into GST. GST registration is required primarily if your annual sales are more than Rs. 20 Lakh. Even if your sales are less than Rs. 20 Lakh.


Procedure
  • Go to the Government GST Portal and look for Registration Tab.
  • Fill PAN, Mobile No., E-mail ID and State in Part-A of Form GST REG-01 of GST Registration.
  • You will receive a temporary reference number on your Mobile and via E-mail after OTP verification.
  • You will then need to fill Part-B of Form GST REG-01 duly signed (by DSC or EVC) and upload the required documents specified according to the business type.
  • An acknowledgment will be generated in Form GST REG-02.
  • In case of any information sought from you and intimated to you in Form GST REG-03, you may need to visit the department and clarify or produce the documents within 7 working days in Form GST REG-04.
  • The office may also reject your application if they find any errors. You will be informed about this in Form GST REG-05.
  • Finally, a certificate of registration in Finally, a certificate of registration will be issued to you by the department after verification and approval in Form GST REG-06.
